THE HOBBY
After years of slumbering, the story finally continues…
… I was raised with a profound love of Lego’s and building the wackiest things.
I believe it was around 1985 when my dad bought us our first boat and tank models to
build & paint, and I was instantly hooked.
Sadly, it only lasted a few years and adulthood soon followed, as did working and owning a
business, so in the years that followed, the passion was extinguished by circumstances.
Despite these years, my passion continues to burn within me. I visited many modeling shows and exhibitions in Belgium just to marvel at the skills and art of fellow enthusiasts
Let’s not dwell on that for too long.
This is the moment, and tomorrow is awaits, it’s time to buckle up and let’s do this
The world has been devastated by a pandemic in 2020. It has been 2 years, and we are still fighting it. In contrast to many other countries, we aren’t placed in total lockdown. It is becoming the norm to work from home, and going out or eating out is being restricted, so people spend more time at home.
My fingers start to itch again and I realize that I miss making miniatures and painting them. My next step was to think about what I want, how I want it and where I want to start.
The only thing I knew for sure was that I didn’t want to make any more tanks or airplanes.
The interest I have developed in sci-fi and fantasy over the years has led me to log onto the internet to learn more about my options.
